WFAA is committed to supporting diversity, equity and inclusion across our colleges and universities. The State of Washington recognizes tribal sovereignty and that the Pacific Northwest holds spiritual, cultural and personal significance for Tribal nations. WFAA also acknowledges that we occupy, provide services, and gather on the ancestral homelands of Tribal nations, who have lived in this region from time immemorial and continue to live in this region today. We recognize our presence and honor the resilience and history of these communities. WFAA thanks the people who continue to care for these lands, and those who came before them.

WFAA is actively committed to establishing and consulting Tribal communities in our organizational development and to serving Native students in their pursuit of accessing higher education and financial assistance while maintaining respect for their cultural and traditional values.
